Even though the laundry room was one of the first rooms I brainstormed decor for right before we bought our last home, unfortunately it has been put on the back burner again and again and again over the last 2+ years. FINALLY, over the weekend, I got around to giving our humble wash room (which doubles as our cat Zoë's room) the attention it deserved. It's amazing what a coat of paint, new light fixture and functional decor can do for a space, no matter how large or how small. And guys, I am smitten! Take a look.
I started by giving the room a deep cleaning ... wiping down the walls, dusting the washer and dryer, sweeping and mopping the floor, etc. Next, the once white walls were given a new lease on life with a fresh coat of Benjamin Moore's "Aegean Teal." And finally, I was super excited to hang several pieces of wall decor, lay down a plush runner (in my all time favorite color/pattern of course ... black and white stripes) and accessorize with baskets and bins for better storage and organization.
{honorable mention: my fantastic hubby installed the beautiful, yet amazingly complicated, new light fixture which I absolutely adore}
So, are you motivated to give your laundry room a face lift? ☺
