My Favorite Makeup & Beauty Products

I enjoy browsing makeup aisles and trying new skincare products regularly, however I definitely have my go-to's and favorites. Some are a bit pricey ... others can be found in the drugstore, but after a lot of trial and error I've developed an affinity toward certain products that I have found to be tried-and-true.

Here are the makeup and beauty products that I can't live without:

Favorite Matte Primer: BECCA Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector (this primer is so good at reducing the appearance of pores AND reducing shine ... which is an issue of mine, especially during the summer months)

Favorite Liquid Eye Liner: Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner (my color is Intense Black ... very easy to use and good staying power)

Favorite Foundation: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (my color is Cadiz, which is for medium-deep skin with peach undertones ... not too heavy, sheer and light)

Favorite Mascara: Benefit They’re Real! Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara (really does make your lashes appear longer and thicker ... wow-factor indeed)

Favorite Setting Powder: Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder (my color is Kunafa, which is for deep tan and rich skin tones ... prevents creasing and provides a long-lasting glow, while also brightening and disguising under-eye darkness)

Favorite SPF Moisturizer: Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 Moisturizer (love, love, LOVE ... extremely light with no blue-ish tint but carries a high SPF)

Favorite Facial Cleanser: Clinique Liquid Facial Soap (been using this since I was a teenager, at the suggestion of my fabulous cousin, Rolanda)

Favorite Contour Stick: Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick (my color is Espresso, which is for medium deep skin tones, but has a cool undertone ... easy contouring tool for someone who is just getting started with contouring or doesn't want a bunch of fuss)

Favorite Facial Serum: Ole Henriksen Truth Serum® (I call this the holy grail / fountain of youth ... light, not sticky, effective)

Favorite Setting Spray: Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray (this setting spray keeps your makeup fresh for hours AND reduces shine ... which is an issue of mine, especially during the summer months)

Favorite Finishing Powder: bare Minerals bareSkin™ PERFECTING VEIL Finishing Powder (my color is Dark/Deep ... this finishing powder legit makes you look airbrushed)

Favorite Eye Palette: Anastasia Beveral Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette (my everyday palette ... subtle hues mixed with heavier hitters)

Favorite Lip Gloss: Sephora Ultra Shine Lip Gloss (my color is Totally Lucid - Clear ... I can't live without a good clear gloss, and this one is not sticky but also not too slippery)

Favorite Tinted Moisturizer: NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 (my color is Seychelles, which is for Medium-Deep skin with golden undertones ... another must-have all year round. It's just tinted, but gives you a finished look without having to apply foundation ... perfect for summer days at the beach or pool)
